Stinson & Bates were definitely a blessing.

As far as Wyrick's record, I don't know either. I remember his first season in '03 very well though, it was my last season. We beat Kelly pretty badly during the regular season, but Wyrick being the good coach he is had his guys ready and they beat us in the LPD tourny semi's in extra innings to earn a region D berth and eventually a trip to semi state. I don't remember much about the seasons after that, I know GatorGirls brother played and it seems like his '05 team beat Kelly in the district tourny, I think it was the year Shane Pearson (stump) transferred to Kelly. </div></div>

That semifinal game had to be the ugliest I have ever witnessed. There had to have been a dozen or more errors in that game.

Plus, had RC's rightfielder not misjudged the dang ball, RC would have went to state instead of JJK.

Wyrick is one of my favorite coaches. I played summer ball for him, and it was a blast. No doubt he is a great coach, and I knew there wouldn't be much of a dropoff where ever he is at, unless they have absolutely the kids have no coordination what so ever.

A good-smart head coach will always surround himself with quality assistant coaches. Makes their job a lot easier. Yeah, people will give the assistants a lot of credit (i.e. Stinson and Bates) but give Mack credit for having the sense to bring these guys on as assistants.

Of course give Stinson credit for being able to endure being Mack's assistant as long as he did. How anyone could work with that man for that long is beyond me!

Stinson could give a speech to a dead man and fire him up!
